"AFMA was seeking to implement an alternative strategy for assessing skills in our flagship AFMA Accreditation Program, the benchmark qualification for wholesale Australian financial market participants. We had elected to pursue an evidence-based assessment strategy, utilising an ePortfolio tool. However, few educational institutions in Australia had pursued this approach to date, particularly in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Sector, and almost no private Registered Training Organisations that we were aware of.
